Resins

Our friction industry resin range includes Cardanol-modified, CNSL-modified, straight phenolic unmodified, linseed oil–modified, rubber-modified, alkyl benzene–modified, and epoxy-modified grades. Engineered for brake linings, clutch facings, and other friction applications, these resins deliver superior heat resistance, wear performance, and bonding strength, ensuring consistent, reliable operation under the toughest Conditions.

Additives

Forace has partnered with Intercom Srl, Italy, to offer their high-quality problem-solving products for the brake industry, aimed at improving the formulations and properties of brake pads, linings, and clutches.

We offer multiple grades of additives with differing properties for various applications:

  • Lubricant A specialized blend of natural and artificial mineral compounds designed to enhance
    lubricant properties, improve friction material performance, reduce costs, and replace
    or complement existing lubricants in formulations.

    • TechBrake Lub 1.2
  • Coolers A special salt blend, adapted from the abrasives industry, designed to dissipate heat in friction materials and brake discs, reducing localized peaks, oxidative wear, and surface metal oxidation.
    • TechBrake Co 3.1
  • Antinoise A blend of mineral and vegetable compounds designed to enhance the damping
    properties of friction materials, developed with environmental and circular economy
    principles. Suitable for use as an additive or replacement in existing formulations, it
    optimizes performance, maintains low costs, and helps tune and balance the coefficient
    of friction.

  • Abrasives A balanced blend of mineral, organic, and carbonaceous compounds that enhances and
    optimizes abrasive properties in friction materials through synergistic action, usable as
    an additive or replacement while maintaining low formulation costs.

Releases

A specially formulated release agent used in the manufacturing of brake pads, clutches, and other friction materials. It prevents sticking during molding and curing, reduces wear on tooling, and ensures easy part release. Additionally, it provides lubrication during processing, which enhances surface finish, improves product consistency, and extends tool life.

  • FRA FG 632 ES (For phenolic, and other thermosetting resins- With Extra Slip)
  • Forabond 6X (Bonding Agent for friction materials)
